President Obama and Canadian Prime Minister will sign an agreement forming a “Perimeter” around North America

There is one sure way to solve the US debt crisis: Replace the Dollar with the Amero.

Source: National Post Dec 2010

“Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and President Obama will sign a deal next month that will form a “perimeter” around the North America that will allow people and goods to flow freely across the border.”
http://www.nationalpost.com/news/canada/Conservatives+announce+border+security+%20%20deal+with/3947584/story.html

For several years Lou Dobbs, a CNN anchor, covered the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America. Known as the SPP it was a security and trade agreement between President  Bush, Canada, and Mexico.  You can get a good history of Mr. Dobb’s coverage of it here.

Supposedly the SPP is no longer being pursued, yet when you visit the URL it is still active.
http://spp.gov

But when the URL opens it is entitled Commerce Connect, and claims to be under the US Department of Commerce. Certainly if ending US sovereignty is the goal one necessary step would be elimination of the Dollar. And isn’t saying you are forming a perimeter around the North American continent “so that people and goods can move around freely”, what does that mean for those little squiggly lines on the current map that we old timers would call the US borders?

‘Amnesty’ memo reflects ‘dictatorial’ attitude

“The alarm continues to be a raised over a private internal memo from the U.S. Customs and Immigration Service that indicates President Obama has an amnesty plan in the works for many illegal immigrants.

The memo was drafted by four officials at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service to the director of the department, Alejandro N. Mayorkas. Jan LaRue, senior legal analyst with the American Civil Rights Union (ACRU), believes the memo serves as evidence the Obama Administration intends to go around Congress in its attempt to acquire amnesty for illegal immigrants.

“They’ll be granting visas and work permits and green cards to people who have illegally entered this country,” she maintains. “They’ll do it by a thousand here and a few million there, but they are clearly evidencing an attempt to do it.”

In 2008 the estimate for illegal immigrants in the US was 11 million. Think that is enough to sway an election? Yeah I bet it is.

Does anyone read the Constitution these days?

Hat Tip to Rutherford 912 group for the lead on this story.

The irony of ironies; this article was written by a Canadian lawyer! I guess the only people reading the US Constitution are those who long to live under it themselves.

When Obama instructed US Attorney General, Eric Holder, to file suit against the State of Arizona to stop their immigration law from being enforced, they filed the suit in an Arizona federal court.  Arizona federal Judge Susan Bolten’s ruling struck down many key aspects of Arizona’s law, finding them un-constitutional. The case has since been appealed to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Fransisco. However, according to the US Constitution Bolten’s court, nor the San Fransisco court,  have Constitutional authority to hear the case.

US Constitution: Article III, Sec. 2 reads:

“In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction. In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction…”

Do we honestly have such a poor lawyer in our US Attorney General that this just slipped by him? Or did he know he could get the ruling he wanted from a liberal Judge like Bolten who was appointed by Clinton? And will Arizona get a fair shake from an appeal being decided in San Fransisco? LOL!

If all citizen’s who are concerned about the way our Constitution is being ravaged by a progressive Congress, White House, and court system (as it was also by George W Bush) do not demand that their state elected officials begin opposing federal intrusions into state sovereignty… there will be no states left to defend.

AFGE Council 118 ICE, the union that represents over 7,000 detention and removal agents within Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), issued a vote of no-confidence in ICE Director John Morton and Assistant Director of the ICE Office of Detention and Policy and Planning, Phyllis Coven.

Why?

The scathing release by the ICE union accuses Director Morton and Assistant Director Coven of:

  • Dedicating “more time to immigration reforms aimed at large-scale amnesty legislation, than advising the public and Federal lawmakers of the severity of the illegal immigration problem;
  •  Misleading the public regarding the effectiveness of the Secure Communities program and using it as a selling point to move forward with amnesty legislation;
  • Refusing to alert Congress as to the severity of the problem regarding criminal aliens and to request additional resources to provide better enforcement and support of local agencies;
  • Prohibiting the majority of ERO agents from making arrests or enforcing United States immigration laws outside of the institutional (i.e. jail) setting; and
  •  Implementing detention reforms that have created a “resort like living conditions to criminal aliens.”

Finally a union that is speaking some common sence!
