Command spokesman Maj. Mike Burns tells the Asbury Park Press (http://on.app.com/NTz1PB ) the sites were chosen because they provide realistic urban training. Burns says the training prepares the soldiers for fighting in “a myriad of confusing city landscapes lights and sounds.”[emphasis mine]
BECAUSE the troops need training for Iraq. No wait…we are leaving Iraq. They need training for Afganistan. Well no…”a myriad of confusing city landscapes and sounds” does not really sound like Afganistan to me. Hmmm… is there anyplace you can think of that sounds like “a myriad of confusing city landscapes lights and sounds”?
