Congressman Walter Jones from NC has submitted a resolution that is clearly a warning to the Administration that they are treading on thin ice, and that to act against Syria without Congressional approval will be viewed as an impeachable offense, at least in Congressman Jones’s view. “Expressing the sense of Congress that the use of offensive military force by a President without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution.
Whereas the cornerstone of the Republic is honoring Congress’s exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That it is the sense of Congress that, except in response to an actual or imminent attack against the territory of the United States, the use of offensive military force by a President without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress violates Congress’s exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution and therefore constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution.
I have searched several major news services including Fox, and there seems to be a media blackout on this one, quite unbelievable! I guess this is why we need to protect the internet!

Neal, the Prez already did this with Libya, too. Congress has become irrelevant unless they actually do something to stand up to this guy, impeach him, and expose him for the fraud he is. And yes, this is why we need to protect the freedom of the internet, because the media stopped doing their job quite a while ago, especially since this fraud came on the scene. Something is very rotten in Denmark…I mean…here in the USA. Keep up the great work!
You are correct! There were a few that called for it then, but there was no resolution put forth from Congress until now.
