Govern Edmond Locally (GEL) is a shining example of what can be done!

So how have we gone from Republican Party officials feigning ignorance about Agenda 21 to a unanimous resolution condemning it… because one liberty group would not rest until they did. I believe Govern Edmond Locally, or GEL for short, can be a shining example of what liberty groups everywhere can do if they will stick together, and take action.

A very active member of GEL, and author, Vehoae sent me this in an email:

In November 2011, Robert Semands  spoke before the Woodward County [Oklahoma] Republican Women organization, of which Carolyn McLarty is a member.  Carolyn McLarty is also a National Republican Party Committeewoman from Woodward County (in northwest Oklahoma, near the panhandle).  Robert had been asked to adress the subject of Agenda-21/Sustainable development during the November 2011 meeting.  Afterward, McLarty assembled many Republican Committeepersons from other states to co-sponsor the resolution, which eventually passed at the Winter meeting of the Republican National Committee.”

Maybe it is just me…but it would appear not all state level GOP committee’s are as “closed and partisan” as what I have experienced in Cleveland county, and North Carolina.

Thank you Robert, Vehoae, GEL, and all of the RNC members who sponsored, co-sponsored, and passed this resolution!

One Response to Govern Edmond Locally (GEL) is a shining example of what can be done!

  1. Neal, as always, you are quick to acknowledge the accomplishments of groups around the Republic who have realized victories in efforts to blunt the schemes of Agenda-21/sustainability. You deserve that very same recognition, my friend.

Please permit me to clarify something about what you wrote. During the public meetings of the Edmond city council where GEL members attended, along with other members of the public who had become aware of what was taking place in regard to Agenda-21/sustainability, no chairs were left in the very large auditorium. A follow-up public forum was held where over thirty or forty supporters of GEL spoke from the microphone concerning their opposition to the city’s involvement with U.N. programs such as Agenda-21/sustainability.

I’m not sure, Neal, of the exact number of GEL’s current active members; but I know it is quite large. These people have sacrificed an unimaginable amount of time, mileage and gasoline for their vehicles, money, and quality time with their families. I am so proud of what they have managed to accomplish in the face of obstinate, and often obnoxious, bureaucracies — at local, state, and federal levels, as well as “high falootin” corporations.

Certainly, I’m not telling you anything that you and others have not already seen in action within your own groups and states. But, despite my few years of residency in Oklahoma, it’s been long enough to recognize the quality and capabilities of Robert Semands and other active members of GEL. When you view the video of the public forum I mentioned above, you will see and hear many of those members in action.

Neal, as you know, the past nine months (and probably more to come) have been traumatic for me personally. As a result, my participation in GEL’s activities has not been “very active,” but rather very slim. That, combined with obligations I have to my publisher for marketing and completion of two current projects, is causing my time to be spread mighty thin these days. I’m not yet back to being very active, Neal, but do try to keep my eye on the news, including your incredible job with the Gaspee Gazette and efforts to inform through public forums and media appearances.

Thank you so much, for recognizing the many people working to make the acronym GEL well-known here in Oklahoma, just as Neal Thomas’ Gaspee Gazette is known there in North Carolina.

May God bless you and thousands of others across our Republic with strength and resolve, as you work to halt the schemes behind Agenda-21/sustainability.
