“Cash for Keys in USA”, and “Ban on Cars in EU”, Agenda 21 marches on.

US Banks in ‘Cash for Keys’ Foreclosure Talks: from CNBC click here to read

Now if you offer someone who is hopelessly upside down on their mortgage $21,000 to hand over their keys, do you think they are going to live on the street? No they are simply being  “incentivized” to live in more “sustainable” housing. Like maybe “Employer-Provided” housing similar to China’s FoxConn Corporation where employee housing  sleeps 8 to a dorm room, and where safety nets are installed for suicide jumpers.

Interestingly, the City of Asheville is already planning for ”Employer Provided Housing” , AND for when cars are banned there. The following is cut and pasted from Asheville’s Smart Growth Initiative, click here to read.

Goal IV. Insure that affordable housing programs and projects are consistent with Smart Growth and Sustainable Economic Development objectives and policies.

Strategies:

1. Review every City-assisted affordable housing program and project for consistency with City of Asheville Smart Growth policies.

2. Target City assistance to encourage housing developments that have good access to transportation infrastructure (transit, bike lanes, sidewalks) and services; including the preservation of affordable downtown housing.

3. Review and evaluate updates to the Consolidated Plan with regard to Smart Growth and Sustainable Economic Development objectives and policies.

Goal V. Address the affordable housing problem in a coordinated and comprehensive fashion by allocating available resources to address both the supply and demand sides of the affordable housing issue, as well as promoting public education about the extent of the problem.

Strategies:

1. Advocate for and support efforts to increase earnings in the region to a level where Fair Market Rents are affordable to all working people.

2. Identify and support regional efforts to increase the supply of affordable housing, including employer-provided programs.

3. Provide financial and organizational support for non-profit housing developers and financial support for affordable housing produced by for-profit developers.

4. Develop and implement a public education program targeted at improving public awareness of the extent of the affordable housing problem and addressing neighborhood compatibility concerns.

I hope the citizens of Asheville start flooding their County Commissioner and City Council meetings, if not these programs will continue to spiral out of control.

Why does “Living Wage” language surprise ANYONE in Asheville?

You are dues paying members of ICLEI, an accredited NGO for the UN’s Commission on Sustainable Development. ICLEI worked with the Center for American Progress, AFL/CIO,  Apollo Alliance and many others to create the STAR Community Index which calls for

Ensure that every worker earns a living wage—one that allows workers and their
families to afford a decent standard of living, including housing, transportation,
and other basic needs without depending on public subsidies.”

In addition to the above mentioned groups Maggie Ullman, Manager of the City of Asheville’s Sustainability Office is also listed in the credits for the STAR Guidelines.

Council Of Governments coming under scruntiny!

Article from Carolina Journal about Councils Of Governments. These groups are not elected, yet they play major roles in shaping policy and decisions in our cities and towns. In our town Centralina Council of Governments, funded by the EPA, wrote Cleveland County’s Land Use Plan, as well as, our Transportation Plan, both of which present ridiculous solutions to problems that do not exist in our county.

There is a growing contingent in the county that is asking Cleveland County to leave the group. Please reach out, connect with us, join the resistance! Let’s get our county out of the hands of the EPA.

$461 million secured for N.C. railways..wow hate to say I told you so…

Man the irony…our County Commissioners just approved a Comprehensive Transportation Plan that includes 60  miles of light rail around Cleveland County… but don’t worry they said “Most of these projects will NEVER be funded. But NCDOT will get your money from the feds to do it.

What is an Agglomeration? It is a fancy word for a “Walkable Community” but on a Continental level.

http://stillstandingup.wordpress.com/2011/03/16/globalization-strategists-reveal-another-platform/

The above link is from one of the greatest patriots I have had the pleasure of “meeting” through the internet. She, and her research and blogging, were vital in getting ICLEI kicked out of their town in Oklahoma a couple of weeks ago.

How did they do it?

They Community Organized! They banded together and consistently had 200+ people show up at their City Council and County Commissioner meetings and demanded they leave ICLEI!

Way to go Shirl!

Please take some time to read through her article linked above. It once again shows how Sustainable Development is more than just environmentalism… it is Land Use Planning, Transportation Planning, Population Control, and HEALTHCARE rationing.

How else will they reduce the population to the levels they have stated we need without rationing healthcare?

Have you heard Glenn talking about China’s ghost cities? If not Yahoo search for them, it will baffle your mind. But they are not just an investment for China, they fit into a bigger plan called Agglomerations.

Russia is doing it as well. Click here to read an article( from an older Gaspee post) from the UK Telegraph detailing Russia’a plan to “redistribute” their population into 20 major urban centers, or agglomerations.

Never happen here right?

What was it Obama called for in his latest State of the Union speech? Infrastructure spending, and 80% of Americans having access to high-speed rail? It is just a couple of more “Stimulus Bills” away.

Do you think the lack of resolve from the US Congress on spending cuts thus far demonstrates they have the guts to stop this from happening?

Shirl’s article (linked at the top of post) provides clear evidence these agglomerations have been publically discussed  in the US since at least 2007!

Below is an introduction to her article:

“The National Bureau of Economic Research  (Massachusetts), conducted a two-day “Agglomeration Economics” conference in 2007.  The official conference report (edited by Edward Glaeser) was published in book form February 2010 by …. wait for it …. the University of Chicago Press.   The University has been actively publishing a multitude of other publications centering around globalization and agglomeration of the world’s population.”

We must fight, and it starts in Cleveland County!

Connectiong the Dots on Sustainable Development with Soverignty International

In my talk to the Shelby 912 Group some of you may remember the map of the US with all of the red areas? The red areas being places humans would not be allowed to live? That map was created by Geologist Dr. Michael Coffman

Geologist Dr. Micahel Coffman

to prevent the Biodiversity treaty from passing the Senate in the mid 90′s. Dr Coffman is on the Board of Directors for Soverignty International. From my perspective, that raises the credibility of Soverignty International above reproach!

Below are links to three Soverignty International videos that are a MUST watch for anyone wanting to understand the origins and purposes of Sustainable Development.  They only last about 20 minutes each, but they are HIGHLY informative about this wicked ideology based on Environmental and Social Justice, as well as, Wealth Re-Distribution. If you want to learn the history of this agenda in our country, and its beginnings in Europe, these videos will give you a wide foundation on which to start. I have linked to them in order below:

ICLEI is using the University of North Carolina to promote themselves in Raleigh in May!

Cyrus Bhedwar-ICLEI Southeast Dir.-Atlanta

During my talk to the Shelby 912 Group I mentioned how the University of North Carolina  host’s an internet listserv called GreenGov which allows for an extraordinary level of coordination and communication for bureaucrats within the NC governmental system concerning sustainable development projects. The particular example I cited in my talk demonstrated how NCDENR was using the listserv to promote an EPA program.

The example below clearly shows how ICLEI has now also been given access to the UNC ListServ to promote the fact they have been chosen by the Department of Energy to help NC communities go solar.

Solar America Communities Workshop at SOLAR 2011

Register now for the Solar America Communities workshop at SOLAR 2011! The
free workshop, “Getting Started with Solar in Your Community,” will take
place from 8am-4pm on Tuesday, May 17th in Raleigh, NC.

The workshop will focus on important concepts related to residential and
commercial solar installations and how to create a local-level solar program
and install solar on municipal and other community facilities.  In the
afternoon, you will network with industry representatives to explore the
development of solar projects.

The workshop has four central objectives:

*  Develop a common vocabulary and understanding of solar technologies

*  Examine the benefits of and barriers to solar installations in local
communities

*  Learn what steps a community can take to go solar

*  Find out where to go for more information on a range of topics, including
technologies, installation, and financing

To register for the free workshop, contact Anna Read at solar@icma.org.

Solar America Communities is a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) program

designed to increase the use and integration of solar energy in communities
across the United States. The International City/County Management
Association and ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability USA were selected
by DOE to assist local governments throughout the U.S. implement best
practices and accelerate the adoption of solar energy.

For more information visit www.SolarAmericaCommunities.energy.gov

It is also NOT a coincidence that Cyrus is involved…Gaspee reported months ago that Atlanta has been chosen as one of the 9 “beta” cities for the STAR guidelines to be implemented. And don’t forget, SEQL which Cleveland County and Shelby are members of, links to ICLEI on their website!

Global Governance will never happen here…right??

Freddie and Fannie (the Feds) currently own 96% of US residential mortgages, and the Feds own 30% of the land in the US.

I once again want to thank the Shelby 912 Tea Party for allowing me to present my research on how the Sustainable Development agenda has crept its way into Cleveland County. Below are a couple of clips from Glenn’s show from Aug of 2010. (Archives provided by The Daily Beck website, click here to visit) In these clips Glenn shows some very disturbing video clips from Hillary Clinton, Obama, Al Gore, the UN, Soros, Andy Stern, and others speaking about the need for a “New Global Governance”.  Approx 6 minutes into the first clip is where it gets really pertinent to the discussion we had last night.

More importantly than the Beck clips, please go down further in this post and read the introduction to the article by Soverignty International.  A huge shout out to Cheryl Pass, one of my fellow researchers and activists on local sustainability efforts from the Gastonia area for sending me this!

I have provided a link to the entire article after the introduction. Once you go to the article, down at the very bottom there is a link to Soverignty International’s website. It is packed with resources that I believe our Commissioners need to see. The article is a little long, and some may struggle to get through it, but I am here to tell you, Soverignty International has the “Consensus Process” nailed.

For those of my local readers in Cleveland County, throughout the article simply replace the terms NGO and Stakeholder Council with any of the following: Lake Norman RPO, Centralina Council of Governments, Sustainable Environment for Quality of Life (SEQL), or the Sustainable Communities Task Force created by Section 13.5 of SB 897.

The ”Concensus Process” is what created Cleveland County’s current Land Use, and Comprehensive Transportation Plans.

Please consider joining me and other Tea Party Members at both the County School Board meetings, as well as the Commissioner meetings, and let’s begin devising a Transportation Plan that makes sence for Cleveland County.

The Consensus Process:

Developing an appropriate response

(from eco-logic, May/June, 1997)

In communities across America, “stakeholder” councils are being formed, or have already been formed, to advance Agenda 21 to transform cities and towns into “sustainable communities.” The “consensus process” is used to gain the appearance of public support for the principles of sustainability, applied to a particular community. The process is designed to take the public policy- making function away from elected officials and place it in the hands of professional bureaucrats, while giving the appearance of broad public input into the decision-making process.

Stakeholder councils are called by many names and are created for a variety of specific purposes. Whatever they are called, and whatever the stated purpose for which they are created, they all have several common characteristics, and all have a common objective: the implementation of some component of Agenda 21. To develop an effective local response, it is necessary to understand the objectives, the process, the techniques, and the players. While each community may experience a variety of different approaches, it is necessary to recognize the common principles that guide all such councils. (Click here to read full article.)
