ICLEI co-conspiritor New Cities Institute wants to teach the youth of Charleston, SC how to be good little socialists!

Palmetto Artisan Program

“For years the youth in Charleston, SC had created a problem as they peddled handmade crafts on its downtown streets. They posed a danger to themselves and were a nuisance to others. Thus, the Palmetto Artisan Program was created. The program includes an after school camp, in which children can learn crafts then apply for permits to sell their wares, and encouraging youth to become future business owners.”

  1. Thanks for the link on the article. I’ve sent this along to other members of GEL here in Oklahoma (“Govern Edmond Locally”) for a heads up. If you’ve got any School Board elections going on where they’re being conducted as open forums, your folks there in N.C. might want to consider asking a question about the Board’s stand on ICLEI/Agenda 21/sustainability as it relates to their schools and community.
